The Hip Flask Shape Guide

The Hip Flask Shape Guide

The ‘Kidney Shaped Hip Flask’

This is the most common shaped flask – the one people would draw if you asked them what a hip flask looks like! It has squared corners and a curved body to fit against snugly against the hip or thigh. They are usually found in 6 or 8 ounce sizes. Although we also have a Giant one that holds a staggering 26 ounces!

The ‘Pocket or Cushion Flask’

Unsurprisingly, the pocket flask is designed to fit in a pocket. The corners are typically more rounded, and the body is flatter. They are usually found in 4 or 6 ounce sizes.

The ‘Top Pocket Flask’

Top pocket flasks are just a narrower and smaller version of the pocket flask. And yes, you guessed it, they are designed to fit in a smaller top pocket, so they typically only hold about 3 ounces.

The ‘Round Hip Flask’

A round flask is…round! They fit in pockets or purses. Sporran flasks are very often round.

The ‘Purse Hip Flask’

A purse flask is a smaller hipflask designed for women to carry in their handbag. They are often narrower than a standard flask and come in other shapes like our heart shaped flasks. Typically, they hold 1 to 3 ounces.
